About

Hi! I am an applied mathematician working on problems in undersea technology in the Boston area. I completed my Ph.D. in mathematics at Dartmouth College in Summer 2021, focusing on solving inverse problems by developing methods based on Bayesian statistics and convex optimization.

I grew up in Bay Village, Ohio. I attended Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, where I studied Mathematics and Government & Legal Studies.

I completed my Ph.D. in mathematics under supervision of Dr. Margaret Cheney in 2021. I used tools from convex optimization and Bayesian statistics to develop novel methods for solving both inverse problems and sampling problems. I focused on incorporating maximal information from the motivating application for algorithm development.

In my free time, I love to get outside as much as possible whether that’s through running or rowing or hiking. I also enjoy drawing and painting.
